Until recently, I had always thought that my career in life was to be an outstanding soccer player. Although I am pretty good at the game, over the past couple seasons I have been gradually losing interest in it. Now I find that I am extremely talented in the music department. My music career started way back in second grade choir, than it moved to learning to play trumpet in middle school, and now it has reached the point of being able to play guitar and sing at the same time.
In second grade our class had to put on a little sing-a-long show for our parents at the end of the year, in which every child in our class had to go to Music Class twice a week for the entire year. It was a lot of hard work, especially being such a young child at the time, but I somehow found enjoyment in it all. I had never been as nervous in my entire life as I had been that night when I sang those first words, “When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary.” At the end of the performance, I knew it was all worth while because all of the parents were standing up applauding and yelling phrases like “Great job!” or “That was simply amazing!” This feeling was definitely one of the best feelings I have ever felt in my entire life, almost as if I was the only one singing in front of the whole audience. Singing in this choir was one of the first steps that I have taken to further my musical side of me.
The next major step that I took to supplement my musical knowledge was to learn how to play an instrument besides my voice and to learn to actually read musical notes. Lucky for me, both of those opportunities came in sixth grade when I was told I had to choose between doing choir and playing an instrument. Seeing as I had already done choir, I was willing to go the extra mile and achieve playing an instrument. I played all through middle school and I was the best trumpet player in our middle school until I got braces which drastically lowered my playing level but I was determined to keep playing to the best of my ability. My band teacher, Mrs. Hill, always believed I could do anything with the trumpet and that confidence she had in me was a big factor because it showed that someone in this world enjoyed the music I was able to play. As long as it made a difference in one person’s life than it shows to me that I have not put all of that hard work and effort to waste.
Learning the trumpet and the ability to read music opened vast amounts of doors beyond my possible belief in which I took advantage of by moving onto the next steps: playing more instruments and even singing while playing an instrument. Today, I can play a total of four different instruments, which I never thought possible back when I was younger. Plus, I play lead guitar and backup vocals in a small band with a couple of my friends. We have written a couple of original pieces but we also cover other band’s songs. Covering is taking another band’s work and having us play it back in our own way which allows us to express how we feel the song should go. Writing our own songs lets us be original and allows other bands from across the world to play it without difficulty in translating it.
A wise man once said, “Music is universal.” This statement could not be any more promising than the fact that the sun will rise tomorrow. Music is the portal through which I express myself everyday, whether I am annoyed, thrilled, or gloomy. Music will always be in my ears because without music, I can not face many of the challenges life gives me. Music is my life and when I find someone that shares this same passion that I have for music I will marry her and love her with all my willpower. I will teach generations to come the power of music and will share my knowledge of it with my fellow peers. No single person can say they lived their life to the fullest if they never stopped and listened to what was all around them, the sound of music.

School's In

So for the past couple of days, I have neglected to get my rear down on my seat and start typing in my blog, although I may or may not have been on my computer alot.

So basically school's started and it's going pretty well and all but I have a couple crazy teachers. Oh well not my problem, I can always just put that extra UMPH into studying. Oh yeah and so I have a couple other interesting things like how I can solve a rubiks cube 95% through without looking at the algorithms and how our band is actually getting together more and more these days (partly because I now have a mic and it hooks up to my computer but has pretty nice quality for the mic it is. yes it is not a synheiser but oh well I'm not rich nor do I have a job although my brother is trying to get me a job at Coldstone. It'll be saturday nights friday nights and sunday mornings so there would go my weekends but it pays pretty well and without a girlfriend I can spend those tips on me haha. Oh and in 5 months I'll be turning 16 so I will be able to drive and be free!! daang I am so excited.

And I came up with the thought of that life in general is like a Rubik's Cube.

What I mean by that is simply that in order to make it better sometimes you'll have to make it worse. You start out not knowing at all what you're doing but than you figure out one side than a side and the two supporting layers than try to skip to the top but fall back down and ruin everything but than miraculously it all comes together in the end and you feel accomplished and than you want to do it again until you can get it perfect every single time.

The Beijing Olympics started today and might I say an AMAZING opening! By far the best I have ever seen in my life! Great technology work and choreography. I give major kudos to the people that organized it. Obviously I will be rooting for the US of A. They are the bomb and can whoop China even if they are the host team.

Plus I have a new setup for my computer and desk and basically this side of my room in general. Tomorrow I will be adding two (possibly four) more speakers to my stereo system that is hooked up to my comp. Today my old receiver died so now I am using a Audio/Visual receiver but it's cool because we don't use this one anymore so now I have it. So I could also set up a nice tv and stuff up in my room..but that'll have to wait til I have the money.

anyways til next time! (which hopefully won't be too long)

This is Danvari93 SIGNING OFF

Laid back

So I have not been posting nearly as much lately, partly because we just had a huge new release on the tube. (click this link to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjkik213jKw)
Anyways, I have decided that this summer was a lot better than last year and not because of the places I went or doing these music videos. This summer was tons less stressful on me than last year. It may have been because I did not do swim team this year, but than again it could be something COMPLETELY different. Only I know.

Oh yeah news update. Today I have successfully hooked my guitar up to my computer although I unplugged it because it has bad quality so now I use my microphone system there. It works wonders and has great quality to it. All I have to do now is go download some free audio editing stuff and I'll be on my way to..well somewhere.

Plus this girl now thinks that our band is some amazing hit band in Alabama and we had her believing that we were on tour. Although our band is not amazing (yet) or have we even hit one gig, we have started practicing and we already have one song written and I am writing the guitar part to it. Will and I have played Good Riddance together and it sounds amazing. (but obviously not as good as Green Day.)

On the music video note, we are planning on doing a THIRD music video to a ballad song. We'll have to find a really good song to do it too and maybe just maybe this one will be a tad more serious than the other two.

Also, I am trying to remember these algorithms for solving the Rubiks Cube. I can get about halfway through but than I never remember. Anyways here they are. Give it a whirl.

1) Fi U Li Ui
2) Ri Di R D
3) U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F
4) Ui Li U L U F Ui Fi
5) F R U Ri Ui Fi
6) R U Ri U R U U Ri
7) U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L
8) Ri Di R D

Anyways thanks for reading my boring blog. I'll try to keep it updated throughout the school year.

In 32 years there are about 1 billion seconds!

In Too Deep

Alright so first off, we filmed HALF of the music video for In Too Deep. The other half will be filmed on Thursday and depending on what car we have we will be at Big Spring Park with hopefully the original band. So far so good. It's not like First Date, where it was funny, this is semi serious. Unfortunately because we are always so tight on time we have to work with what we have. It should all come together in the end.

SECOND off, I am getting my braces off in one month plus maybe a couple weeks I don't exactly know.

BAM'S BIRTHDAY BASH!

Ever since I left Pigeon Forge and all of my family, I have been thinking to myself; which summer was better: this year's or lasts? Let's put them side by side for a moment.

Last year's summer:

July 4th week - Went to the beach with all my amazing friends from Virginia than set off fireworks and all around a great time.

July 16th week - Went to South Carolina with Jeremy and his cousins and went to his lake house it was super fun!

As soon as I got back from that (and I mean the next day stuff), I went to Maryland and hung with my aunt and uncle and cousin. Than we went to New York City for a couple days. Although NYC was EXTREMELY dirty, it was a memorable experience. I loved how big the city was and how it never got boring, whether dodging cars in the streets to going to "The Today Show" studio.

Unfortunately because it was last years summer, I don't have QUITE the memory of this year's summer. So I may have done a couple other things but I really don't remember.

ANYWAYS

This year's summer:

The day school got out, I went with Jeremy, Shane and Josh all to Jeremy's lake house in South Carolina. That was a blast even if it was just for a short amount of time. (weekend plus a day or two) All the way from getting picked up by the cops on the water to going to see Indiana Jones the Crystal Skull. Plus a couple more memorable experiences thrown in!

Than June 20th ish, I went down to Mississippi I drove down to my AMAZING Bam's house, in which I stayed for a couple days before leaving for Atlanta than onto Seattle to hang with the family up there! We stayed in Monroe (right outside Seattle) with my cousins Sean and Jessica for one night than drove to Richland the next day to which we stayed at my Aunt Deb's and Uncle Rock's house. Although the first couple of days were spent getting everything ready for my cousin Becky's wedding (by the way I'm so glad for the two of you Becky and Craig!! and soon to come Rowan!), I still somehow found time for fun. A couple days after we arrived in Richland, my cousins Sean, Ryan, and Heather (and all of their spouses) and Uncle Rock's sister flew in with her mother to spend the week with us helping us with everything! I mean from making dinner to helping me with the filming of the wedding video. We spent another couple days there after the wedding and than went back to Seattle and Monroe with Sean and did the sightseeing stuff in Seattle with those "Stupid" diving birds at the IMAX theatre. If you have never gone to Seattle, GO! For real, it is a great place with tons of nice people. (We got into the Science museum for 1/3rd of the cost because of this homeless guy. He was nice too even though at first he was kinda a creep) So from there we came back to Atlanta than to Mississippi to my grandmothers house in which my brother and I were picked up by my madre who brought my dog Sampson along for the ride. Than we came home end of that story!

Two weeks later after I return home from that trip and head out to Tennessee for a four hour long car trip to the most amazing time this summer! I'm really sorry that Ben, Becky, Craig and Aunt Margeret could not make the trip because they missed out on some real serious fun. I think most of the fun was because we had the ENTIRE family there, minus those mentioned previously, because they brought fun into everything. I want to thank Jessica and Andy for all of the hard, long and endless nights they put into planning this entire trip, but for all of their efforts it came out PERFECTLY! Everything was planned ahead and not a single thing that I can remember was out of synch. On the first day that we got their we moved into the two houses we were staying at and set up the 360 and than had the "Camp Bam" meeting in which Andy headed.

The second day we all headed out for Dolly Splash Country water park in which it was a really fun time but would have been more fun had the lines been shorter. (I also took the most AMAZING nap ever there. The scenery was perfect for it) That night we started the Ping Pong tournament and started getting handed points. Oh yeah I was on team HipBone and the team we were playing against was team Favorites.

The third day we were there 12 of us went river tubing. Now I will admit it was not the most intense river tubing experience ever but that was partly because we had a couple youngins comin' along that hadn't river tubed before and we didn't know how they would deal with it. Although it wasn't intense there were still places where white water showed and a BUNCH of rocks. I mean TONS! but they weren't sharp, they were well rounded from the water flowing over them for years and years. Oh yeah, and where we set our tubes in, the water was no lie 4 inches deep and yes my dad did fall over just trying to get in his tube. Luckily though the water got deeper and deeper throughout the ride and at some points the current actually was pretty fast. There were some man-made dams along the water so people would stay clear of hazards and to make the water flow faster there. Well anyways we got done with that around noon than we all came back and took a nap, showered, than came back to the main house to hang, eat dinner, play Guitar Hero, and than more ping pong.

Saturday (the last full day) my brothers and I and almost Andy and Ryan all went skydiving at the Fly-A-Away building. That was tons of fun and even though 3 minutes sounds like a short amount of time for the money we had to spend on it, it felt like 3 years. Most of the time we spent just keeping level and stuff but our instructor got willem to do a couple tight twists in midair and even fly with his back to the ground. I semi got the hang of it again and would love to go again if any places open near the Huntsville district. After skydiving, we all went back to the main house and finished off the ping pong tournament in which I came 2nd in to Drew. (hey the score was 21-19 gimme a break) Although I never did get to play Ryan, I have heard that he has some skill in the game also. After ping pong, we all participated in Ultimate Frisbee and halfway through the game the score was like 7-3 and the hipbones were winning. After that the ref's told me I was no longer aloud to catch any in the end zone. ugh! It's all good though because we still won and the ending score was 10-9 I think. It was close. After Ultimate, we all played "Capture the Bam" in which case Bam was substituted with two green inner tubes. Our team won that game also! Than we did tug-of-war where the favorites just pulverized us. (oh yeah did I mention that the favorites had all the dads minus one and the one we had was injured in the foot? haha thought I hadn't) Than came the 3 legged race where Thomas and I teamed up together yelling "RED" "BLACK" "RED" "BLACK" to keep ourselves on top of the game. Who knew it would actually work! HipBones won that game also! Than came the water balloon toss. Thomas and I teamed up again and WE yes WE won it for the hipbones! We got the farthest apart before our balloon popped. (It was measured on who could go the farthest not who could go the longest without it popping) Than we played dodgeball with water balloons, where both teams tied up on that. Finally that night we had a Iron Chef competition in which the secret ingredient was pie crust. So yeah they made pies. I think the Favorites won 2/3 things that they were judged on so they got 100 points while we got 50 for getting 1/3. That night also we had our talent show in which instead of playing guitar for everyone, I played a little game called "The Cup Game". I've played with Jessica before and so I decided I would have to tell someone the secret to the game so people wouldn't think I was just making this stuff up. I played it for 10 minutes and not a single person got it. (it took me hours to figure it out for myself) I will post a video of me playing it in front of the camera so you too can participate and see if you know why one particular cup is a cup and another is not.

Sunday morning, today, we woke up EARLY EARLY to get over to the main house for our family prayer service. It wasn't much but some people in our family wanted to do something small so we did and it turned out pretty well. After we all packed everything up and headed out on the road about 10:30 east coast time and got back 2:30 central time.

I really didn't want to make it sound so biased but I didn't write down ANY of last summer's events compared to this one. But anyways they were both super fun and I hope I will be doing something exciting next summer!

Pigeon Forge!

Alright so today I am heading off along with the rest of my family, minus a couple, to go to the great state of Tennessee. We're there to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday even though technically her birthday isn't until next October. While I'm there, I will be going sky diving, water parks, water rafting, and much much more! I will try and remember or write down everything I do so I can keep you posted. I am also bringing my guitar and camera because oh the fun I could have with all of that! I will more than likely be pulling off a couple pranks on my family and will get it on camera. HOPEFULLY.

Anyways, I don't think I will be posting another blog until I get back. But when I get back I will have a long ass blog for you all to read

TILL than!

The United States spends more money on its military than the next 13 countries on the list combined!
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

Bloopers Part 2

Yeah so if you've checked my youtube account or facebook you probably already know that the bloopers are not up yet. Well quit worrying! they'll get up there sooner or later! I still have to get my cousin's wedding video on to a dvd (well like 3019 dvds but that's besides the point) so i am going to be using my time doing that.

Oh and I made a video of me playing guitar to the song of Good Riddance Time of Your Life
Yes I can sing to the song but my voice is TERRIBLE like no lie it really is so I didn't sing while I was playing. Oh and it's my version of the song so it's different from the original but I like it. So that's why I play it. In other words that video is uploading to youtube right now and possibly facebook idk.

Oak trees do not produce acorns until they are fifty years of age or older.
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

Bloopers

Alright so the bloopers to the music video "First Date" are going to be posted on youtube and maybe facebook before next wednesday. NOT MY FAULT. It just comes with learning the program.

Anyways I have to do them all over again. It got over 100 views in a period less than 16 hours. That's pretty good considering a couple of my videos have been up there for a couple months and still haven't hit 100. I'm hoping this music video gets the success like my video "Bulbous Bouffant" (btw if you haven't seen that I suggest you should)

Anyways what I am trying to say is that we are definitely thinking about doing a sequel with another song. If that one gets the same amount of success and our name spreads to a deeper audience we may end up doing ALOT more of these. Heck we may do them whether or not people love them, because they're so much dang fun to do. (plus we all get to hang out together) Even for me the editing part is also fun because I keep it fun. So don't worry about me editing these into pieces of crap because I lost interest, cuz i keep them interesting as you may or may not have seen.

Anyways til next time!

40 to 50 percent of body heat can be lost through the head (no hat) as a result of its extensive circulatory network.
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

IT'S DONE!

That's right! I suggest you do too. I read this on my friends blog and just couldn't believe it until I, myself, tried it out. It works.

"One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped
out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on
his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver
of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.

And I mean,
he was really friendly.

So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined
your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver
taught me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck.
"

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.

They
run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full
of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to
dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

Don't take their
garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take
over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...
"Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't."

The life expectancy at birth in Swaziland is estimated to be only 33 years old (as of 2005)!
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

Getting Ready for the Big Day

Okay so maybe it's not as big as a wedding, but it's still pretty big in my books. (trust me even though I don't read (much) I still have a library filled with tons of great authors such as Jerry Scott, Jim Borgman, Jim Davis and let's not forget, last but not least, Lee Goldberg! Okay so I rented his from the library, but it's still on my shelf is it not?) Anyways, what I was getting at is that tomorrow at least 6 people are going to be shooting a music video! Yeah I know exciting! (The 6 people who actually volunteered, not the music video itself) How do I know at least 6 you may ask. Well let me introduce you to a little thing I like to use on a very popular site called Facebook. The application is called "Events" Now I know what you're thinking.. boring name must be lame. WRONG! In fact so wrong that it goes way off the wrong list! I use this to organize all those important dates to remember and guess what? IT WORKS. For instance, I know that on thursday the 17th, there will be soccer to be played..now seeing as I don't know if I will make it I marked myself as "Maybe attending."

Well basically what this post comes down to is I used an application on facebook called Events to get everyone (that I want to come..not everyone. Yes that may or may not include you who is reading this sentence) notified of this music video that we plan on filming tomorrow..at one..in and around McGucken Park. BAM! scared yet?

It was discovered on a space mission that a frog can throw up. The frog throws up it's stomach first, so the stomach is dangling out of it's mouth. Then the frog uses it's forearms to dig out all of the stomach's contents and then swallows the stomach back down again.
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

Beta House

Alright, say you've got nothing to do for the night. Well you could invite your girlfriend over OR you could get a bunch of dudes over with your 60" HDTV and 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound plugged in and play the movie American Pie Beta House. By far one of the funniest movies ever! The Stiflers never let you down when it comes to perverted comedy, alchohol, and, of course, sex. This movie is basically about two college frats (Beta House & Geek House) who fight for ownership basically of the college. Downright hilarious, but definitely not for the faint hearted. Some scenes such as Eric "exxerting" himself across the room onto his girlfriends teddy bear's face, are just to good to forget. All in all, if you haven't seen it, watch it. If you are too wimpy at least watch the trailer. It's a great movie for the WHOLE family! (as long as that family is a couple that just got outta college with no kids.)

There are only four words in the common English language that end in "-dous": tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/
(oh and if you haven't noticed all these fun facts at the bottom of the page (which is hard to believe cause they're RED) then start reading them. Oh and look at that! I'm on that part! What a coincidence. Well anyways, I'm working on my cousins wedding video and have a couple technical difficulties but that's just because I'm using some new software. Hopefully it will be done by July 23rd cause that's my deadline haha.

Oh and on further news, Pat and I finished the basic outline for the music video. I don't know when that will be done but if it's done right it should definetly have an impact.

Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy.
http://www.randomfunfacts.com/

Music Video: Blink-182 "First Date"

Hey! So this is an announcement that my friends and I are going to being making a music video to the song "First Date" by Blink-182. This is going to be really funny but also really good looking at the same time. If you don't laugh than that will be your problem. Not mine.

Oh yeah and so David, Riney, and Sam all came over last night and we all went over to Jeremy's. Yeah that was great fun. Are you trying to make me jealous or what? Because saying that you're going to be making a "real music person"'s music video is most definitely not making me jealous. Oh man you also got to use a red camera also!! Daaang! You sure do know how to make someone jealous! Oh and finally weighing 140-145 lbs at 17 after being skinny your whole life is also an accomplishment to make me jealous! Oh wait...no forget I ever said that cause I did that last year..at the age of 14. I've heard of diets to make you skinnier but going on one to get you fatter is sounding to me like one of those girl celebrity moves. We went to the pool this afternoon and I now (semi) know what it feels like to be a dad and to hold responsibilities (plus how tiring it is to keep up with someone that has SO much energy). I felt a very strong connection between her and me of which I have not experienced with any other child. Well anyways just keeping you informed in on that.

In other news, I talked to Kelly tonight and had a pleasant conversation with her. I don't know but something about her makes me feel at ease.

Oh yeah I also went to Bellacino's with my Uncle, Rowan, Tate, and Willem. Than we went to see my grandmother. She's forgetting ALOT. Oh well, I just hope I never get to that point in my life. I don't know how much longer she will keep in there.

A lump of pure gold the size of a matchbook can be flattened into a sheet the size of a tennis court. If I am happy, I will write happily with many descriptions. If I am sad, I may not write as much. If I am angry, I will write harsh. You are forewarned muahaha.

I got home from my long three week vacation which ranged from the San Juan Islands in Washington State all the way to the little town of Diamondhead in Gulfport Mississippi. This is a vacation to remember; not only for the great times spending with my relatives, but also for those little moments that turn into bigger moments in the long run. For instance, my cousin Heather just had a baby a couple months ago and when I held that baby in my arms I realized that I was that small and innocent at one point in my life. Now that I look back and see all of those things that I could've done differently to make my life so much better now, I realize that maybe I am who I am because nobody else compares to what I would like to be. All my life I have been looking for something and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers, too, though they were often in contradiction and even self- contradictory. I was naive. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.

We all know the saying "Dog is man's best friend." Until last Friday I had always doubted that saying because all of my best friend's were people, but when I heard the news that my Mom was bringing my dog, Sampson, to my grandmother's house for some uncontrollable reason I was extremely happy. It only got better from there too. My mom brought him on Friday and I could not believe he still remembered me. Well okay so that was an exaggeration but still he acted like I never left him for three weeks. I don't know but something about that just made me really happy and now I know why. He and I have silent conversations with each other. I know how he feels and I sure do know he knows how I feel. He has been my friend for three years straight and has never left me for anybody else in this world...okay maybe my mom once or twice but hey he's gotta like girls too right? I don't know, I just think that out of all my best friends, he is the only one that has been there for me the longest.

Oh and in recent news; Atlanta Braves just beat out the Astros in the 18th inning with a score of 7-6.

Click Here to See the Play-by-Play of the Game

First Day!

Hello world!
